Township of Chatsworth administration building. (Matt Hermiz/Bayshore Broadcasting News)
To help inform you about some of the perspectives of candidates running for mayor and council in the upcoming municipal election, Bayshore Broadcasting News sent a few questions to all those seeking office in municipalities across Grey and Bruce counties.
In Chatsworth, candidates were asked:
- Why are you running?
- Are there any steps municipalities can take to ease cost of living concerns? If so, what measures would you support?
- What are your ideas for economic development in your municipality?
- Do you think the municipality has a role to play in the recruitment and retention of physicians and other healthcare workers?
- Should the township pursue more shared services with neighbouring municipalities?
- What issue do you believe is a top priority for Chatsworth to tackle during the next term?
You can review the answers provided by candidates in Chatsworth below by clicking on their names.
Chatsworth deputy mayor candidate Diana Rae did not submit responses to this questionnaire prior to publication deadline. This Q & A was also sent to all three acclaimed to council, but none of them provided responses.
