1) Why are you running?
I am running for position of mayor because I feel I am the strong leader needed to connect with the public, research information and make informed recommendations to the council that can help out township move into the future.
2) Are there any steps municipalities can take to ease cost of living concerns? If so, what measures would you support?
I believe there are many steps municipalities can take to help cost of living. Affordable housing is a good way to help with cost of living. Also I really support small community centres so the people don’t have the cost of fuel and other associated cost with leaving their home community to learn, interact and play.
3) What are your ideas for economic development in your municipality?
Some ideas I would be interested in to attract economic development in our town ship would be. – new and existing business a tax brake based on percentage of employees – start up / expansion loans – shop local incentives.
4) Do you think the municipality has a role to play in the recruitment and retention of physicians and other healthcare workers?
5) Should the township pursue more shared services with neighbouring municipalities?
I think our township should not pursue any more shared services at this time.
6) What issue do you believe is a top priority for Chatsworth to tackle during the next term?
The top priority for Chatsworth township in this next term. Is to connect and listen to the people of our community. So we can make the best plans for the people that live in Chatsworth township and their future.
