Some extra cash is coming to hospitals across Huron County.
In a news release, Huron-Bruce Progressive Conservative MPP Lisa Thompson says the more than $1.1 million is meant to support flexibility, and annualizing 2019/20 in-year investments for local hospitals.
Over $2.4 million was announced to local hospitals in late 2019, under the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund (HIRF) program.
The latest funding announcement includes additional amounts for the following hospitals:
Clinton Public Hospital $205,000 (2% increase)
Seaforth Community Hospital $153,500 (1.9% increase)
South Huron Hospital $157,700 (2% increase)
Alexandra Marine and General Hospital $358,300 (2% increase)
Wingham and District Hospital $270,100 (1.9% increase)
