Hospitals across Huron County are getting a surge of infrastructure funding from the province.
Huron-Bruce Progressive Conservative MPP Lisa Thompson announced over $2.4 million in local hospital funding, under the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund (HIRF) program.
The Seaforth Community Hospital picked up the biggest chunk of funding, at $923,388.
The South Huron Hospital will received over $878 thousand, followed by hospitals in Clinton ($303,131), Wingham ($234,254), and Goderich ($102,181), respectively.
The funding announcement is part of the government’s investment of $175 million this year to support hospitals across Ontario.
