The home has been closed to new admissions since last July.

In a prepared news release, it states “The Ministry of Long Term Care has cleared all Director's Referrals at the home.”
County Warden Mitch Twolan says “We're getting close. We're gearing up for admissions sooner rather than later.”
Chair of the Homes Committee Chris Peabody says once admissions do start, they will be done slowly.
Peabody says there are about 33 empty beds available.
He says now that the orders have been lifted, the county and home staff need to show that the plan in place will be sustainable with no slip-ups over the next year.
Both Peabody and Twolan point to staff at the home and at the county level for getting the job done to put the facility on the cusp of taking admissions again.
