Grey County OPP have safety concerns about people who are choosing not to follow the posted signs at Eugenia Falls in Grey Highlands.
Grey Sauble Conservation has posted signs to keep visitors on the trails and within the assigned viewing areas for the falls.
Police say if you make the choice to go outside of the assigned viewing area or leave the marked trail and you are observed in this activity by police you may be charged with engage in prohibited activity on premises under the Trespass to Property Act.
They say the greater concern is the safety of those who don't follow the posted signs.
In 2017 police and other emergency services responded to two separate incidents where a person had fallen after leaving the assigned viewing area and marked trails.
In July 2017, a 19-year-old man died after falling 40 feet from a cliff and in August 2017, a 25-year-old woman was seriously injured after she fell 30 feet.
Grey County OPP want visitors to enjoy all that the area has to offer but you are being asked to follow the direction of the posted signs, for your own safety.
