Legendary Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen has died after a long battle with cancer.
The guitarist’s son Wolfgang announced the news today on Twitter saying he was “the best father he could ever ask for.”
Eddie Van Halen formed the rock group with his older brother Alex who played drums.
The original lineup, whose hits included ‘Jump’ and “Panama’ also included Michael Anthony on bass and singer David Lee Roth.
Eddie Van Halen was 65 years old.
