Schools in hotspot communities like Toronto, Ottawa, Peel and York Region are receiving more funding.
Today Premier Doug Ford said $35 million in additional funding will help protect students and prevent the virus’s spread in those areas.
“This funding will help provide more physical distancing in classrooms, support smaller classrooms and provide more resources for remote learning,” said Ford.
The Province hopes to keep schools open and continues to monitor and assess the situation across Ontario.
Decreasing travel is advised by the Province in general, but no travel bans are in place for the current hot spots.
