Four people from outside the area have been arrested and charged after what Grey Bruce OPP are describing as a “robbery involving a firearm” at a Georgian Bluffs residence.
OPP say they were called to a weapon occurrence at Highway 6 and 21 just after 4 a.m. Thursday morning.
Police say four suspects attended an apartment, displayed a firearm and assaulted occupants of the residence. The suspects left the scene prior to police arrival.
Around 2:40 p.m. Thursday afternoon, OPP say the four suspects were arrested at a business on Highway 21 in Saugeen First Nation.
Police allege a loaded handgun, $20,000 worth of fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia were seized in a search of the suspects and their vehicle.
Grey Bruce OPP have charged a 21-year-old from Mississauga and three Kitchener teens — two of them 17-years-olds and one 19-years-old — with a long list of drug trafficking and firearms related criminal offences.
Police say the Grey Bruce OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate.
