The Ontario Hockey League staged a Conference Call with their 20 league General Managers this morning.
The session provided the projected dates for the OHL to proceed with the upcoming season.
The OHL and their member teams are stressing the projected dates are not written in stone and could be delayed or altered based on government decisions and the input from public health officials.
If, IF, everything progresses smoothly, OHL Players are to report to their training camps on Saturday November 14th.
OHL Training camps are scheduled to commence the following day on Sunday November 15th.
Any Player that needs to quarantine, for example a player coming into Ontario from outside of Canada, must be in the city of his club team 14 days prior to the opening of Training Camps.
Two weekends of exhibition play will be conducted; November 20th-22nd and November 27th-29th.
Every team will play 4 pre-season games.
The caveat is the league will schedule the exhibition matches.
Even though Owen Sound-Barrie has been a pre-season tradition for a quarter of a century, the league may in fact have the Attack play Guelph. Or Kitchener. Or Mississauga.
The projected OHL season will commence on Tuesday December 1st and run to April 29th.
The OHL general Managers were not provided with a regular season schedule.
The OHL Regular Season will be followed by the playoffs and eventually the Memorial Cup.
The latest the OHL Playoffs would conclude would be Monday June 14, 2021
The 2021 Memorial Cup is to be staged in Ontario June 17th-20th
