The Town of Saugeen Shores has launched the Saugeen Shores Strong Business Recognition Campaign to highlight the efforts the local business community has made to adapt throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says in a statement, “We know that Saugeen Shores has a resilient business community and we want to celebrate all that local businesses have done to keep our economy strong and our community safe.”
A media release from the Town says, those businesses nominated by consumers or employees should be those those that have shown resiliency and adaptability throughout the pandemic, with efforts that have impacted the community.
Examples can include a business’ new products or services, COVID-19 safety procedures, or businesses giving back to the community, among others.
Those nominated will be presented with a decal to display in their window,
along with recognition on the Town’s website and social media channels.
To nominate a local business, you can complete the online form available at SaugeenShores.ca/BusinessRecognition<http://www.SaugeenShores.ca/BusinessRecognition>. Paper copies are also available at the Municipal Office, 600 Tomlinson Drive, Box 820, Port Elgin.
