Equipment has been stolen from a farm research project, south of Clinton.
Officials with the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority say the theft took place at the Huronview Demonstration Farm.
“This site is one of several in Ontario where farmers and partners work together to develop and demonstrate science-based agricultural practices to improve crop production and soil health while protecting the environment.”
The ABCA says the goal of the project is to share data with the Huron County Soil and Crop Improvement Association and the drainage community.
“This data will help to inform best practices to improve water quality. We hope people will appreciate the work being done and watch for the missing equipment.”
Anyone with information on the missing equipment is asked to contact Huron County OPP at 519-482-1677.
