Starting today and for every two weeks, staff members at the Pines Long-Term Care home in Bracebridge will be tested for COVID-19.
Based on the recommendation from Public Health, residents will only require testing if they experience symptoms.
The District of Muskoka announced on Friday that COVID-19 test results came back negative for all residents at the Pines, with the exception of the one resident and staff member who tested positive last month.
It says that patient continues to recover and their symptoms are almost fully resolved, while the employee who tested positive for COVID-19 has recovered and is awaiting testing before returning to work.
Public Health says it will determine when the outbreak status will be lifted at The Pines based on achieving a period of 14 consecutive days with no new cases, which may be as soon as this Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
