A 40-year-old woman faces numerous charges after an overnight stabbing in Owen Sound.
City Police say early this morning officers responded to a dispute which escalated to a serious stabbing incident at a downtown apartment.
Owen Sound Police say a 52-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed multiple times, including in the head and neck.
The victim remains in hospital.
Police say the man’s partner, a 40-year-old woman, was arrested shortly after and charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
Officers located and seized weapons they believe were used in the incident, including a knife.
City Police say the woman, who has not been identified, made an initial court appearance and was remanded into custody.
Owen Sound Police say the investigation is continuing and further charges are expected.
