Premier Doug Ford told his daily news conference today that the system is broken.
He was referring to the Federal Quarantine Act.
Ford says there is too much red tape and police can only do so much especially is someone is reported breaking the quarantine rules and then when officers arrive, the person has left.
Ford says over 620 people have reportedly broken the rules, but only 17 charges have been laid.
The premier says he wants to work with the Federal government to get things turned around.
Meanwhile, at his daily address, Premier Doug Ford was also asked about whether he thinks people should gather for Thanksgiving and if kids should go trick or treating this Halloween.
He says there is still a month and a half until the end of October and if we look back a month and a half ago, cases were under a hundred.
Ford says he will continue to consult health officials and “play it by ear”.
