
A transit initiative has launched that will provide transit services between Shelburne and Orangeville.
The Grey Transportation Route – or GTR – is a two year pilot project that will start in September, operating 5 days a week.
GTR will offer four routes in the region; Highway 10 between Owen Sound and Orangeville, Highway 26 between Owen Sound and Town of The Blue Mountains, Highway 6 between Owen Sound and Wiarton and Grey Road 4 between Flesherton and Walkerton.
Route One kicks off September 14, running on Highway 10 between Owen Sound and Orangeville.
Weekend service will be considered depending on demand.
The service will be free to ride from September 14 to October 31 and schedule details can be found at grey.ca/gtr.
Starting November 1st fares on the Highway 10, Highway 26 and Grey Road 4 will be $5 for Adults 18+, Students (6-17) $4.50 and Children 5 and under are free. Highway 6 route will be $3.00 for Adults, $2.50 for Students, and Children 5 and under are free.
