
OPP Patrol car
A crash in Southgate over the weekend thankfully only resulted in minor injuries.
Around 9 pm Saturday night, August 22, Grey Bruce OPP were called to a single vehicle collision involving a red pick up truck with an attached trailer.
The driver lost control, hit the gravel shoulder and left the road, going into the ditch on Highway 6, near Southgate Road 12.
The driver and a passenger were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The driver was arrested for being impaired while operating a motor vehicle and after being given a breath test, he was found to have twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
A 30 year old man from Stoney Creek has been charged.
