More details about kids’ return to class are expected in the coming days from the Avon Maitland District School Board.
Officials with the AMDSB say an upcoming e-mail will provide parents and students with details surrounding a staggered start date for students, as well as the “many layered health and safety protocols and processes” being instituted this academic year.
The forthcoming schedule will provide start dates, and details around entry and dismissal times.
New this academic year will be the halving of semesters, with only two courses taken per half-semester, meant to limit contact between students.
The first two courses will alternate weeks (course 1 for one week and course 2 for the next week) until mid November.
In mid-November, students will switch to courses 3 and 4.
