A few road closures in Owen Sound for drivers to take note of today.
The city advises 16th Avenue East is closed from 10th to 16th Streets East to allow for watermain improvements to be completed before the commencement of the 16th Street East rehabilitation project.
It’s expected that stretch of 16th Avenue East will remain closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Meantime, sewer rehabilitation preparation work at the 9th Avenue and 16th Street East intersection will cause some changes to traffic flow.
The city advises traffic signals at the intersection will be shut off and a police officer will be on-site to direct the flow of vehicles. Left turns won’t be allowed in the southbound, northbound and westbound lanes to accommodate the work.
