Crews will be pressure washing sidewalks in downtown Owen Sound nightly for the next few days, starting tonight.
The city advises the work is anticipated to be completed by Wednesday. It will commence at 8 p.m. daily and continue into the early morning hours of the following day.
The city's street sweeper will clean up all the debris that has washed into the gutters each day, once pressure washing has been completed.
The contractor will be using an environmentally friendly disinfectant to help kill viruses and bacteria during pressure washing operations, according to a release from the city.
Residents are being asked to not park overnight along streets where pressure washing operations will take place, and instead use municipal parking lots.
The work will take place along the following streets:
- The south side of 10th Street East between 3rd Avenue East & 2nd Avenue East;
- 2nd Avenue East between 10th Street East & 8th Street East, both sides;
- 8th Street East between the Farmers’ Market & 3rd Avenue East, both sides; and
- 3rd Avenue East between 9th Street East & 8th Street East, both sides.
