Some parts of Kelso Beach Park in Owen Sound remain closed due to high water levels.
City staff are installing temporary fencing around the closed off areas, which include the waterfront trail, amphitheatre, picnic pavilion and part of the beach area.
The splash pad, playground and public washroom remain open.
According to a city release, a portion of the Kelso Beach parking area will be used as a pedestrian walkway and will be indicated on the ground by white paint markings and orange barricades.
Lake Huron and Georgian Bay have seen historically high water levels this year, leaving low lying areas such as Kelso Beach Park susceptible to erosion.
The city advises it's working to undertake capital improvements including the installation of shoreline protection, to protect Kelso Beach from further impacts of high water and wave action.
