Bayshore Broadcasting continues to expand and will soon be offering a 10th radio service
The CRTC has approved a Bayshore broadcasting application to amend the broadcasting licence of CFPS-FM Port Elgin,also known as 98 The Beach, to add an FM rebroadcasting transmitter located in Tobermory.
The new service will be known as 92 The Wave.
The new transmitter will operate at 91.9 on the FM dial with an average effective radiated power of more than 2,000 watts.
To begin, the service will be a repeater of the programming that originates from the studios on Goderich Street in Port Elgin.
Looking further ahead, the goal is to man the station and offer local programming from The Wave FM site in Tobermory.
92 The Wave will join a roster of Bayshore Broadcasting stations that have studios in Owen Sound, Port Elgin, Goderich, Shelburne, Collingwood, Orillia & Bracebridge.
