Bruce County residents will soon be able to responsibly dispose of old paint cans or other household hazardous waste again.
County officials advise hazardous waste collection events will resume in August. Bruce County had cancelled all of its household hazardous waste drop-off days through the end of July, as it worked to develop procedures to safely operate them.
The first household hazardous waste event in Bruce County this year will take place August 8th at the Southampton Works Yard from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m, then October 24th from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
For Grey County residents, the first household hazardous waste day following the pandemic-related pause since April takes place this Saturday,
July 25 at the Public Works Facility on 20th Street East in Owen Sound.
The service is available to Owen Sound, Chatsworth, Meaford, Georgian Bluffs, West Grey and Grey Highlands residents.
