An effort by Hanover Police to locate a stolen bicycle and a man reportedly riding around on it in town, turned into the arrest of a man with a surprising rap sheet.
On Tuesday, Police tweeted a picture of the man and the bike that had reportedly been stolen in a recent break and enter into a garage.
They asked the public to help identify the man and a few hours later, police Chief Chris Knoll returned to Twitter to say they had arrested the suspect—a 36 year-old man from Chatham who recently moved to Hanover.
Knoll said “Charges include Possession of Stolen Property, Breach of Probation and Breach of Recognizance, to go along with his 117 criminal convictions.”
