Grey Bruce OPP have charged a 23 year old Georgian Bluffs man with impaired driving after a crash on Grey Road 15 near Leith.
Police say they were called just after 8:30 Wednesday night (July 15) with a report of a single vehicle collision involving a stolen van on Grey Road 15, north of Leith.
According to OPP, the driver was operating a blue van on Grey Road 15 in a dangerous manner, aggressively passing several vehicles.
They say the driver lost control of the van, went into the east ditch and collided with several road signs.
OPP say the man continued driving in the ditch, eventually launching the vehicle off of an incline at a private driveway. Police say the van flipped in the air, landing on the roof, causing extensive damage to the van.
The driver was arrested and transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the van had been reported stolen from a location in Owen Sound earlier in the day.
The 23 year old man is charged with impaired driving, driving while prohibited, dangerous driving, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and
failure to comply with a probation order.
He has a court date in Owen Sound on October 1st.
