South Bruce OPP are reminding people that golf carts are not cars.
Police say on July 3rd at about 12:30 in the afternoon an officer stopped a golf cart that was being driven along Boiler Beach Road in Kincardine.
OPP say although golf carts may resemble low-speed vehicles, they typically do not meet the requirements for low-speed vehicles and are not allowed on the road.
A Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) must have the following features:
Odometer
Speedometer
Windshield defrosting & defogging system and
Occupant compartment doors
Headlights
Turn signal lamps
Mirrors
Parking brake
A maximum speed capability
