NDP Agriculture and Food critic John Vanthof is calling on Ontario Premier Doug Ford to take immediate action to protect migrant workers from Mexico who are risking their lives and contracting COVID-19 in Ontario,
The call to action by Vanthof follows a decision by the government of Mexico to continue sending migrant workers to British Columbia, but not to Ontario, because they're not being suitably protected in Ontario.
With food producers in our region relying on migrant workers in many capacities, Fred Wallace spoke to John Vanthof about the issue.
