A food drive organized by the Sauble Family Health Team brought in somewhere between 1500 and 2000 lbs of food.
The event, which took place Saturday (June 13th) also brought in nearly $1,800 in cash donations.
According to the Health Team, Salvation Army Captain Mary Millar said, “It was like a Christmas Food Drive.”
The Health Team says it has all been delivered to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Wiarton.
They're thanking the local clubs and businesses that volunteered to hold the event, as well as all of those who donated.
