Another Black Lives Matter solidarity march is taking place in Grey Bruce today.
This time it's happening in Wiarton, with those taking part planning to congregate at a parking lot at Bayview Street and William Street at 9:30 this morning. The march will conclude at Louisa Street.
Earlier this week, hundreds took part in a similar demonstration in Owen Sound, marching from the Farmer's Market to the Black History Cairn at Harrison Park.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit recently issued a statement asking people to opt for virtual forms of anti-racism activism such as signing online petitions, as opposed to large gatherings.
It urged taking part in gatherings to do so responsibly by taking steps to keep as safe as possible and reduce the risk of transmission, by maintaining physical distancing when possible, wearing a mask at all times and bringing hand sanitizer along with you.
