With more businesses able to re-open today as Ontario enters Stage 2 of its economic restart plan, Grey Bruce's top doctor is urging face mask use.
The region's Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra strongly recommends shoppers and employees at retail settings wear masks or face coverings.
Shopping malls, barber shops and salons and outdoor patios at restaurants are among the many businesses or services now allowed to resume in most of the province with new health and safety measures outside of the Greater Toronto Area, including Grey Bruce.
Childcare centres are permitted to re-open province-wide.
The emergency order restricting social gatherings is also increasing to 10 people province-wide.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit urges maintaining physical distancing, including those in group gatherings.
It also urges wearing a mask in situations when distancing is more challenging.
