Nuclear Promise X (NPX), has pledged to match donations to Huron Shores Hospice dollar for dollar in June up to $5,000.
It's part of the Great Canadian Giving Challenge, a national contest to benefit registered charities which is put on by Canada Helps.
Every time a dollar is donated to Huron Shores Hospice, it gets a ticket to win a $20,000 grand prize.
Donations to the hospice can be made at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/gcgc/112613,
The grand prize draw will take place on July 1, 2020.
Last year, over 109,000 Canadians participated, donating more than $14 million to over 12,000 charities.
The Huron Shores Hospice says last year, they purchased a high-end fully adjustable new hospital bed for the hospice suite with donations through the campaign.
Due to COVID-19, this year they say donations have been at an all-time low with so many fundraising events being cancelled, but they say individual donations will have a big impact, when doubled by NPX's matching donation.
Huron Shores Hospice is a charitable not-for-profit, volunteer-led, community-funded residential hospice, providing quality end-of-life care, at no cost, to residents of Saugeen Shores, Kincardine and Huron-Kinloss and surrounding areas.
