A man has been charged with first degree murder in connection with the death of a Meaford man.
On May 3rd, Grey Bruce OPP received a report of a missing 25 year old man, Emerson Sprung, who left his home on his BMX bike the night before and didn't return home.
A police searched resulted in the discovery of Sprung's remains on May 6th.
As a result of a homicide investigation, OPP arrested 34 year old Matthew McQuarrie of Meaford and charged him with first degree murder. He is due to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday.
