Today is the national day of mourning.
It's a day to pay respects to, and remember the thousands of workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness as a result of their job.
The Grey Bruce Labour Council plans to do a “Driving Salute to Workers” at 5:30pm (Apr 28) starting at the YMCA in Owen Sound.
It will travel through the city to places of employment where there are essential workers who continue to work during the pandemic.
The drive will go past the fire department, Lee Manor Long-Term Care home, the hospital, banks and restaurants.
A full list of locations and a map of the route can be found on the Grey Bruce Labour Council Facebook or Webpage.
