Owen Sound police say a car hit a building in the city's downtown Tuesday.
They say just after 8 in the morning officers were dispatched to a collision in the 1000 block of 2nd Avenue East.
According to police, the driver had been parking in front of a business, when his foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal, causing the car to drive over the low curb and into a building.
They say the impact of the car hitting the building caused considerable damage, but fortunately the business was closed and unoccupied at the time.
Police say there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
