If you're in Southern Grey County, there's a new COVID-19 Assessment Clinic in Mount Forest.
The clinic opens for the first time at 10 this morning and its hours will be 10a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday. It will be closed for a lunch break from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
It's located at the Mount Forest Sportsplex (850 Princess Street).
Those who visit the assessment clinic will be seen by a clinician who will provide further instruction.
Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided for patients upon arrival.
With the updated provincial testing guidelines, the assessment capacity and scope in the area is expanding to include residents and workers within congregate living settings and institutions; individuals in the same household as health care workers and first responders; essential workers; and those with frequent contact with the health care system
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health says for the general public, testing is not currently recommended for asymptomatic people.
They do note, if you have symptoms, visit an assessment clinic.
If those symptoms are severe, to to your nearest ER or call 911 immediately.
