More help for more Canadians is on the way, with improvements to the Canada Emergency Response Benefit.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said today they will be topping up the pay of essential workers and expanding CERB to reach people earning some income during the pandemic, seasonal workers without jobs, and people who ran out of EI since January 1st.
It means if you're earning $1,000 or less per month, you can now apply for the emergency benefit.
Workers looking after seniors and those with disabilities will be getting a wage boost and that announcement is expected Thursday.
