Ontario confirms 483 new cases of coronavirus today, marking a 9.2 per cent increase in total cases over Wednesday.
That’s a total of over 5,700 confirmed cases, 2,300 resolved cases, and 26 new deaths.
Wednesday had the largest single day increase of new cases of COVID 19, with 550 new cases.
Premier Doug Ford emphatically insisted more COVID-19 tests need to be administered, so new rules means all health-care workers and first responders must now be tested for COVID-19 as soon as they develop any symptoms.
Anyone newly admitted to a long-term care home will also receive a test, as well as all residents who have had contact with a confirmed case.
As of Wednesday, Dufferin County had a total of 35 cases, Caledon has 33 cases of COVID 19.
