OPP are investigating after a pair of suspects in a two-year liquor thieving spree struck an LCBO in Goderich this month.
Police allege these two men have stolen from stores all over the area, including in Owen Sound, Collingwood, Fergus, Guelph, Orangeville, Kingston, Niagara, Parry Sound, Huntsville, Trenton, Ottawa and Hawkesbury.
OPP describe the suspects as “Active professional thieves that have a taste for some very high-end liquor and wine.”
According to police, the most recent known incident was on March 6th at 7:42 p.m. when two males went into the LCBO in Goderich and shoplifted four bottles of 42-year-old Whisky and two bottles of 16-year-old Scotch.
In total the stolen bottles of liquor are valued at $1,530.
A multi-jusrisdictional investigation has linked the two 'persons of interest' from the Goderich LCBO incident to at least 20 other similar thefts throughout Ontario over the last two years.
OPP say they have been targeting high-end scotches, whiskies, champagne and vintage wines.
