A new state-of-the-art marine simulator was unveiled at Georgian’s Owen Sound Campus yesterday.
It's the result of a $540,000 donation from Canada Steamship Lines.
Cadets and working mariners will now have access to the cutting-edge simulator and upgraded on-site systems at the Owen Sound Campus.
Georgian is now one of a few institutions with this capability and has the only integrated Kongsberg engine/navigator simulator of its kind in Canada.
