Well known teacher and musician in the Grey Bruce community, Bert Hood has died.
Hood, who passed away suddenly at the age of 87 Saturday, was a school music teacher in Grey Bruce, church organist, pianist, choir director and Kiwanian.
He was inducted into the Bruce Grey Music Hall of Fame in 2018.
He also played in the CFOS Sun Times Christmas Fund broadcast for many years.
A Funeral Service for Bert Hood will be held at Central Westside United Church in Owen Sound, on Friday, March 13th at 11 a.m. with Rev. Nicholas Forrester officiating.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is welcoming donations to the Central Westside United Church or the Georgian Bay Children’s Choir.
