Three Bruce County events made the top 100 events in Ontario list.
Last month, the Festival and Events Ontario (EFO) announced Port Elgin Pumpkinfest, Paisley Blues Festival and Kincardine's Lighthouse Blues Festival as some of Ontario's premiere events.
Pumpkinfest Chair Brad Scott says his committee is proud of once again being added to the list.
“We couldn't put on such a great award winning festival without our partners, community, sponsors, municipality and our growers.”
In addition to making the top 100, the Paisley Blues Fest and Port Elgin Pumpkinfest received extra recognition.
The Blues Festival also won for Best Youth Initiative. The 2019 event saw the Blues for Youth workshops which allowed musicians (aged 10-18) take part in free lessons led by seasoned, award-winning artists.
Pumpkinfest also won for Best Promotional Campaign ($100,001-500,000).
Scott says the Promotional award was “especially dear” to the event and thanked Digital Expression for it's creative concept, and Dylan Bartlett, of Progressive Results Group for “his print and advertising leadership”.
Last year the Port Elgin Festival Pumpkinfest (2018) received the award for Best Community Partner Outreach Program with its work with non-profit groups and an award for Best New Single Sponsorship with Sunbelt Rentals.
The Paisley Blues Festival takes place June 5-7, Kincardine's Lighthouse Blues Fest runs July 10-12 and Port Elgin Pumpkinfest takes place October 3-4.
