Province-wide strikes are going ahead today by two of Ontario's teachers' unions.
Both the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association and AEFO, the French language teachers union, are hitting the picket lines across the province.
All Bruce-Grey Catholic District Board schools, as well as Saint-Dominique-Savio School in Owen Sound are closed today due to the strikes.
All Bluewater District School Board schools are open, as it is not one of the boards targeted in a rotating walkout being undertaken by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation today.
The job actions come as bargaining continues between the OECTA and the Ford government today.
In a press conference Tuesday, Education Minister Stephen Lecce walked back the government's position on class sizes and mandatory e-learning in hopes of securing concessions from teachers' unions on wages and benefits, and seniority based hiring.
