Grey Gables Long Term Care Home is reporting an outbreak of suspected Gastroenteritis Outbreak on “Valley View.”
Administrators at the home say, in a media release, “The health and safety of the residents and greater community is important to us.”
They're asking people who were planning to visit to reschedule.
They say after consulting with the Medical Director and Infection Control Committee, the following visitor restrictions are in place:
1. If you are feeling unwell, do not visit.
2. Review any information that may be posted in the home with additional updates.
3. Wash your hands at the hand sanitizer station:
-After signing in at the entrance
-Before entering the resident room
-After leaving the resident room
-When leaving the home
4. Limit your visit to the resident room.
They say visitor restrictions may change over the course of the outbreak and updates will be provided.
