A tale fit for life in Bruce County will take over the Southampton Town Hall next week.
Bruce County Playhouse is putting on “A Red Plaid Shirt” a comedy about retirement.
Actress Helen Armchuk says the play focuses on the lives of two married couples.
“There are a lot of comedic lines and serious notes on dealing with retirement, but it's really entertaining and we're really excited about putting it on,” says the actress.
Joining her on-stage is veteran Playhouse actors Samantha Colwell-Castles, Matt Evans and Kevin Haxell.
The shows begins Feb 12 with a 7:30pm start time and runs until the 21.
Two showing will take place next Saturday (Feb 15) at 1:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
Actress Samantha Colwell-Castles says there will be a special draw for the upcoming summer season if one wears a specific Bruce County staple of clothing.
“If you wear a plaid shirt to any show you can be entered into a draw for tickets for the Opening Night Gala that kicks off the summer season.”
The play is Directed by Natalie Robitaille and the Stage Managed by Michael Johnston.
Tickets can be found at the Southampton Olive Oil Company or online at www.brucecountyplayhouse.com
