Downtown Owen Sound's quarterly shopping event is set to go this weekend.
Four times a year, on the first Friday of a selcted month. This time of year, it's called “Frisky First Friday.”
On Friday, February 7th, from 6 to 9 p.m. downtown merchants will be offering deals and promotions.
The City and the Downtown Improvement Area say on their event page, it's a great opportunity to “shake of the winter blues” or cash-in gift certificates you received for Christmas, or to shop for the perfect Valentines gift.
Participating merchants will have ballots for shoppers to have a chance to win a special Valentines gift pack.
There are also a number of downtown restaurants participating in Frisky First Friday with featured food and specialty cocktails.
Some businesses will have demonstrations including book binding at Grey Gallery, A Knitting Workshop at Riverside Yarns, and a pasta sauce food drive and discount at The Rocking Horse.
