Without a deal being reached between teachers and the Province, this week will see some more job action among education workers.
The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario says there will be a one-day full withdrawal of services in the Bluewater District School Board on Monday (Feb 3rd).
There will also be a province-wide strike on Thursday (Feb 6th). Schools will be closed to elementary students only on both days.
ETFO members will not participate in extracurricular activities at any time starting Feb 3rd.
Third-party childcare centres will be open and community evening programs will still run.
Meanwhile, the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association is set to hold a one-day strike on Tuesday (Feb 4th). That affects both elementary and secondary students. If no agreement is reached, sports and extracurriculars will be cancelled. Before and after school programs will also be cancelled along with co-op and dual credit classes.
Evening and community use of schools will run as scheduled.
Daycare centres at BGCDSB will be open.
