For those who want to provide their input on the Greenwood Cemetery in Owen Sound, Saturday is the last day to do so.
The City has published a draft master plan for the cemetery online. Residents are being asked to review the plan and then answer a questionnaire.
The Draft 2020-2025 plan was presented to the Community Services Committee on December 18th.
A media release from the city says the plan, which has 16 recommendations, “Provides guidance to ensure that Greenwood Cemetery continues to meet the needs of the community.”

Some of the recommendations include allowing more room for cremated remains, allowing for natural burial, official recognition of Jewish and Muslim burial sections, developing a memorial garden program, make buildings more accessible, create a business case for restoring the chapel and change the bylaws regarding monument sizes.
The City says reading over the draft plan and background reports takes roughly half an hour.
The opportunity for comment closes at 4:30 p.m. February 1st.
