Owen Sound Police have charged a 30-year-old man for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of power tools from a job site.
City police say early Thursday morning a man broke into an Owen Sound condominium and made off with power tools that belonged to contractors working at the building.
Through investigation, police identified the suspect and were able to locate and arrest him around 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
City police say the 30-year-old of no fixed address was found in possession of some of the power tools that had been stolen.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Branch later executed a search warrant at the hotel room the accused was staying in.
Police say investigators located all of the remaining power tools taken from the condominium, as well as other, undisclosed stolen property.
The stolen items were returned to their owners.
The 30-year-old faces numerous charges including break, enter and theft and possession of property obtained by crime.
