The City of Owen Sound will be performing snow removal operations starting Wednesday. (Jan 22)
City staff are asking that any vehicles in the downtown core be removed from parking spaces by 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22nd.
They say winter overnight parking restrictions are in place and warn vehicles interfering with snow removal activities may be towed.
Signs will be posted in affected areas and City staff ask drivers and pedestrians to be aware of their surroundings when travelling in those areas.
In a media release, the City says “Snow removal operations in the downtown area are an essential part of the City's efforts to keep the streets clear and passable for residents, as well as emergency vehicles. City staff are working 24/7 to ensure public safety.”
Employers of all sizes in Bruce, Grey, Huron and Perth, are being asked to take five minutes to fill it out.
