The cost to demolish the Chatsworth Arena is more than first expected.
Chatsworth council will receive a report from the CAO on Wednesday advising them of an additional nearly $7,200 in expenses for the demolition.
In May of 2019, the demolition was awarded to Harold Sutherland Construction for a cost of around $43,500.
Cost of the demolition is now slightly above $50,700.
The reasoning for these additional costs are outlined in the report as moving the ball diamond hydro, newspaper ads for the tender, demolition permit fee and designated substance testing.
